Yoga is the oldest spiritual practice that is still alive and well, so why has this ancient spiritual still being preformed?

Like life it’s self, Yoga is a practice that has to be experienced to be understood and I am not talking about the Yoga being practiced in a gym. If you go to a gym to practice Yoga and understand how spiritual this practice truly is then you are lucky because you have found a true Yoga teacher. Most people at gyms are Yoga instructors and not teachers, this is because they are instructing the class through Asanas or Yoga poses and end the class with shavasana or corps pose.

A Yoga teacher will start the class with Asanas, then move to Pranayama or breathing exercises, then Bandha or body locks, continue with Mudra or body gestures and finish the class with a Meditation. As the teacher is moving through the class they should be explaining each posture in such a way that the student does not need to look at the teacher.

Practitioners with a lower back injury

As a person with a lower back issue, it is extremely important that I and other people with a lower back issue practice the physical pose correctly and in the correct order. What I am referring to is preforming a back bending poses before or after a forward folding pose. When this is done it helps to prevent further aggravation of the injury.

With that said back bends and forward folding poses are great for lower back issues and can help to alleviate pain associated with an injury as well as give the practitioner the flexibility needed for everyday life.
